Studio Reopening & the Maine Pottery Tour

Spring is finally here and after a very long hiatus, we are pleased to announce that the studio and gallery will be reopening for the season on Saturday, May 1st.  Just in time for the Maine Pottery Tour.

Springtime in Maine can mean daffodils or snow, and sometimes both, but the first weekend in May it has meant the Maine Pottery Tour for nearly a decade.  The 9th annual Maine Pottery Tour welcomes visitors on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, 2021.  The self-guided tour is an opportunity to enjoy spring in Vacationland and the hospitality of local potters in their studios.  Eagerly anticipated by all who enjoy handmade pottery, as well as anyone looking for a special and unique Mother’s Day gift.

Nearly 50 pottery studios around the state are organized into 3 regions of approximately 15 studios, allowing several studios to be visited in a single outing.  It’s a fun chance to meet the artists, peek in the kilns,, see demonstrations and shop for pottery and other handmade goods.

Interactive maps and a full list of participating studios is available at MainePotteryTour.org .

We hope that you will make Homeport Pottery a stop on your pottery tour.  We will be following all Maine CDC COVID guidelines. Face masks and social distancing will be required.

Happy Spring!

We hope to see you soon.
